Safety Forum - Roundtable Discussion
Date(s): November 6, 2026
Time: 7:00 AM CST - 8:30 AM CST
The MCAKC Safety Forum is a relaxed, quarterly conversation about safety. It is open to safety professionals and anyone interested in safety who works for a contractor signatory to Local 8 or Local 533.
If your company does not have a dedicated safety professional, this is an opportunity to get questions answered, share experiences, and learn from people who work with safety issues every day.
Date: Friday, November 6, 2026
Time: 7:00 AM – 8:30 AM
Breakfast: Provided
- When it makes sense to hire a full-time safety professional and what to do in the meantime
- Near-miss “good catch” programs that work in toolbox talks
- Safety incentive and recognition programs
- Onboarding travelers and newer workers with different levels of training
Help get the conversation started by bringing:
- One safety topic you would like the group to discuss
- One recent near miss or lesson learned
- One safety question you have
No presentations, no pressure. Grab breakfast and join the conversation.
MCAKC Safety Forums are held quarterly. Join us at an upcoming forum:
